Another isekai genre will join the raid of the next Spring anime season of 2023! Another work of the isekai author Miku, I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World (abbreviated as Iseleve), gets an anime adaptation.

The anime was announced on August 19, 2020. It also commemorated the release of the 11th volume in next day.
Because the original title of the series is so long, Isekai de Cheat Skill wo Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai wo mo Musou Suru: Level Up wa Jinesi wo Kaeta or I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too in English, the staff finally gave the official abbreviation, Iseleve, at the same time as the anime adaptation was announced.
Then, they revealed the release date of Iseleve on November 17, 2022. The series will premiere on April 2023.
Later, they announced that the series will premiere on April 6, 2023. The announcement was made inside the PV which was released on February 19, 2023.
The anime will air on Tokyo MX, BS11, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV. For overseas, Muse Asia and Crunchyroll have pocketed the license to broadcast the series on their platform.
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World Trailer
The final PV was released on March 26, 2023. It shows the overview of the background story, the run-of-the-mill bullied protagonist who becomes strong in one night.
The visual animation gets a lot of praise from fans in the comment section. Millepensee does a great job animating this series.
Though some fans ponder that other past works from the studio infamously used poor CGI in their series, such as Berserk (2016) and Kumo desu ga, Nani ka? (2021).

Itagaki Shin (So I’m a Spider, So What?) will be the chief director and oversee the series composition. Tanabe Shingo (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2) will direct the anime.
Hiromi Kimura (Cop Craft) is animating the character from Rein Kuwashima’s original character design. Akiyuki Tateyama is composing the music under the supervision of Naya Ryousuke (Spy Classroom).
It is confirmed that Tsukuyomi will sing the opening song entitled “Gyakuten Geki”, while Shikao Suga will provide the ending song entitled “Hachimatsu”.

On the brink of desperation, he stumbles upon a dusty storage that contains unusual furniture left by his grandfather. He discovers a door that seems to be calling out to him, after mustering his courage, he opens the door and steps inside it.
Now, he ends up in the cottage, but it has an absolutely different atmosphere from his familiar home. Unknown to him, the cottage stands in the middle of a dangerous forest, The Demon Forest.
With the legacy left by his grandfather, Tenjo Yuya’s fate turns upside down. What awaits him is a double life on earth and another world. What fate awaits him?
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World News
Iseleve is based on the light novel of the same name written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima.
Miku started the series as a web novel and uploaded it on Kakuyomu website in March 2017. A year later, he won the Grand Prize at the 3rd Kakuyomu Web Novel Contest in the Science Fiction/Modern Fantasy Division.
Because of its success, Fujimi Fantasia Bunko turned the series into a light novel in December 2018. 12 volumes have been released since.
Yen Press licensed the English version of Iseleve. They published the first volume in September 2021. The second volume is planned to be released in April 2023.
As of August 2022, the series sold 1.5 million copies worldwide. Because of its success, they decided to create a spin-off series featuring the girls’ side will be released on December 20, 2022.
Not stopping with the light novel, a manga version has also been published. Kazuomi Minatogawa is responsible for drawing the manga panels.
The manga was published on ASCII Media Work’s Dengeki PlayStation Comic Web in December 2019. Three volumes have been released since then.
Like the light novel, Yen Press also licensed the manga series. They released 1 volume of the manga on May 2022. The second and the third will be released in January and April 2023, respectively.
This will be the second series from isekai connoisseur, Miku, which gets an anime adaptation. The other series he writes is The Fruit of Evolution which got an anime adaptation in 2021.
Additionally, the second season of The Fruit of Evolution premieres in January 2023. This means that we can enjoy two works from Miku-sensei in both winter and spring.
