Tighten your seat belt because the plot will progress real quick. Every chapter in the light novel is about battle, battle, and battle. Wonder how the studio will adapt this kind of anime.

Kadokawa launched an official website for Ishura on February 12, 2023. There, they revealed two cast members, two visual teasers, and a PV.
A month later, they released other information including a pair of additional cast members and a broadcast channel. It is confirmed that Ishura can be streamed worldwide exclusively on Disney+.
Reportedly, Ishura was present in the Kadokawa Booth at AnimeJapan 2023 event. Reina Ueda and Yuuki Kaji were there to hold a talk show. Unfortunately, no new information was released at that time.
Looking at the announcement date, it is safe to say that it will take a year before we can watch Ishura on screen. It is estimated that Ishura premieres in early 2024.

The first PV was released on February 12, 2023. It shows the world building around the series. It is a mix of isekai-fantasy which doesn’t really weigh on isekai part.
The premise of the series is a deathmatch among the strongest individuals whether they are human, otherworlder, or different races altogether.

Ishura is a Japanese light novel written by Keiso and illustrated by Kureta. It began its serialization on the self-publishing novel website, Kakuyomu and Shosetsuka ni Naro.
Then it was acquired by ASCII Media Works, which later was published under their Dangeki no Shin imprint. The first volume was released on September 17, 2019, and the latest 7th volume was released on February 17, 2023.
Yen Press licensed the series for English publication in September 2021. They started to publish the first volume on May 3, 2022. As of March 2023, there are a total of three volumes that have been released. Meanwhile, they plan to launch the fourth volume on July 18, 2023.
Just one year after its launch, Ishura already made history. The series topped the tankobon, novel, and new title in the Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook. It received the most votes ever recorded for any series in the history of the guidebook.
With that kind of fame, the light novel got a manga adaptation. The manga version is drawn by Meguri. He began Ishura’s serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine on March 5, 2021. As of December 2021, two volumes of the manga were already compiled.
