Goddess Café Terrace has already been released!

Seo Kouji’s manga, Goddess Café Terrace, is confirmed to be animated. The official announcement was released in Weekly Shonen Magazine No.42 which was released on September 13, 2022. But, the official Twitter account spoiled it for fans a week before the magazine release.

Then, the official website was made on November 10, 2022. It revealed the main staff, cast, a teaser visual, and a PV. Goddess Café Terrace will begin airing in April 2023.

The newest information was released on March 3, 2023. It is confirmed that Goddess Café Terrace will premiere on April 8, 2023.

The entire VA of the main cast has been announced alongside the release date. There are six confirmed VAs who has been introduced. They are;

  • Minzunaka Masaaki as Kusakabe Hayato
  • Aoki Ruriko as Makusawa Ouka
  • Waki Azumi as Ono Shiragiku
  • Seto Asami as Hououji Akane
  • Yamane Aya as Tsukishima Riho
  • Suzuhiro Sayumi as Tsuruga Ami
  • Kazue Ikura as Kusakabe Sachiko

It is a bit surprising looking at that line-up. For the record, the manga version released a PV on May 16, 2021. Though the main character, Kusakabe Hayato, isn’t included, all other heroines were voiced by Akari Kito. Fans were expecting she will reprise her role as one of the heroines, yet she doesn’t.

Goddess Café Terrace Trailer

The final PV was released on March 3, 2023. The trailer shows the lineup of the main character starting with Kusakabe Hayato and the rest of the heroines.

The entire PV turns out to be decent enough with great coloring and smooth animation like any other Tezuka Production work.

Nerlame is performing the opening theme “Unmei Kyoudoutai” which is previewed in the PV, while Miki Satou is performing the ending theme “Dramatic”.

We can expect the same quality as the first season of The Quintessential Quintuplets and Girlfriend, Girlfriend. It is also worth mentioning that most of the staff is largely the same as those two series.

Kuwahara Satoshi will direct the anime in Tezuka Production and Keiichirou Oochi will compose the series. Noguchi Masatsune will be in charge of character design, while the music will be the collaborative work between Miki Sakurai and Kanematsu Shuu.

Goddess Café Terrace Story

The story follows Kusakabe Hayato who passes the test at Tokyo University on his first try. Unfortunately, at the same time, he hears about his grandmother passing. So he decides to come back home after three years.

He ran off from the house because he had a fight with his grandmother. Though he hates her, he still comes to check the two store house with the ground floor being a café.

Unknown to him, her grandmother’s home has five young women who live in it. They are the employees of the café his grandmother runoff for years.

Being realistic, he decides to demolish the entire house and makes it into a parking lot. He plans to make extra money because the location of the café is near the beach and it’s bustling in the summer.

But after eating the pilaf Ouka made, he realizes that he doesn’t actually hate his grandmother. He just wants to be a success so he can pay back what others say to his grandmother. While the grandma wants a modest life, Hayato wants a luxurious life. That’s the reason he ran off three years ago.

Out of the blue, he asks the girls to show him the account book of the café. It turns out that they always end up in red. Hoping to meet the guidance for running the café, he faces desperation instead.

Now, he decides to run the café along with the girls. Can he revive the café after its owner dies?
