Fire Force Season 1 and 2 Story

In an age and world where spontaneous human body combustion is a common phenomenon, a special fire brigade is needed to save people from suddenly bursting into flames and turning into monsters.

Shinra Kusakabe, a third-generation pyrokinetic teen nicknamed “Devil’s Footprints,” joins the Special Fire Force Company 8 to stop the infernal attacks and uncover the truth of his family’s death twelve years ago.

In an effort to solve the flaming mystery and cure humanity from this curse, Shinra and his company investigate other fire brigades and get trapped in the mayhem of corruption, manipulation, and power.

In the finale of Season 2, complete chaos happens as Tokyo is on fire and intruders have taken over the city. Captain Hague of the Special Fire Force Company 4 has also died.

Shinra, who’s training to achieve hysterical strength, had visions of Adolla and managed to see the final moments of the deceased captain.

Season 3 is expected to focus on him and Company 8 making allies around Tokyo to help them as they enter into battle with the White Clad and the Evangelist.

Fire Force Season 3 News

Due to its popularity, Fire Force was adapted into animation, stage plays, and even a video game.

It’s no surprise, as the manga sold over 20 million copies worldwide as of May 2022. It was even nominated for the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the Shonen category in 2021.

Unfortunately, the manga’s last chapter was released on February 22, 2022. With this, fans are guessing that this might be the last season of the Fire Force anime.

The anime has already covered the first 20 volumes or the first 174 chapters of the manga.

Season 1 showed volumes 1 to 11, while Season 2 continued with volumes 11 to 20. The upcoming season will likely cover volumes 21 to 34.

Fire Force Season 3 anime will be produced by the same studio that brought the first two seasons – David Productions, which is also credited for making JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Cells at Work.

Tatsuma Minamikawa, who replaced Yuki Yase in Season 2 as the animation director, might return for the third season.

Whether or not it will end with this season, we are surely looking forward to the upcoming return of Fire Force! Be sure to check back in Anime Patrol for updates on the release date and promotional video of the series.
