The famous superheroes crossover, Gridman Universe, hit the cinemas on March 24, 2023.
The unexpected crossover from supposedly two different timelines within the same universe will meet each other.
With the confirmed multiverse that exists in SSSS. GRIDMAN, the producer will have to rack his brain to intertwine the two worlds. Or is it possible that Dynazenon is in the same world as Gridman? So many mysteries are still hidden in the mist.

The project film of Gridman Universe was announced back on December 13, 2021. It was called GRIDMAN x DYNAZENON back then.
The announcement was made at TSUBURAYA CONVENTION 2021 SPECIAL PROGRAM. They mentioned the staff of both SSSS. GRIDMAN and SSSS. DYNAZENON comes back to join the project.
Later, the event of Gridman Universe Showcase was announced in late September 2022. The event was held on November 21, 2022.
At that event, the official title of the “Gridman Universe” movie was set. It also revealed the release date, which happens to be March 24, 2023.

The third PV was released on February 10, 2023. The PV explains the rough background story of how the two worlds intertwine with each other.
Even after Akane is no longer in Gridman world and Gauma sacrifices himself, the threat of Kaiju is still in sight. Gridman cooperation is once again required to save the world.
Luckily, the staff of both Gridman and Dynazenon comes back to work on this project. Akira Amemiya will direct the series as a producer. The script will be written by Keiichi Hasegawa, while Masaru Sakamoto will draw the character design. Moreover, Shirou Sagisu will be a composer for the series.
The cast was also announced at the same time as PV and release date. The same cast from Gridman and Dynazenon returns.

Gridman Universe Story
There is a certain existence that brews calamity known as Kaiju. It wreaks havoc in the middle of the city and spews destruction along its path.
Like oil and water, there is also certain existence whose duty it is to stop the Kaiju and destroy it.
The battle between giants with the spice of drama among the affiliated sides is the premise of the Gridman Universe’s story.
Though the battle in each world is concluded, the threat of Kaiju is still present. A new kind of enemy appears to threaten both worlds.
This time, they battle the threat as a group. The collaboration between Gridman and Dynazenon is approaching.
Can they save the world from the upcoming disaster?

Gridman Universe is based on the 90s Japanese tokusatsu “Giant Hero” series, Denkou Choujin Gridman (Lightning Superman Gridman), created by Tsuburaya Productions, which is also known as the creator of Ultraman.
During Anime Expo 2017, Akira Amemiya from Studio Trigger announced the brand new anime adaptation, SSSS. GRIDMAN, which incorporates the original Gridman as well as the western version. Later, the anime was aired in 2018.
A year later, the second installment of the Gridman series, SSSS. DYNAZENON, was announced. Unlike the first installment, the second took its time to premiere. It finally aired in the spring of 2021.
Funimation licensed both series. Following the acquisition of Crunchyroll, the series is now available on Crunchyroll.
