Hell’s Paradise News

Hell’s paradise, or Jigokuraku in Japanese, is a manga created by Yuji Kaku. The manga started its serialization online on Shonen Jump+ from January 2018 to January 2021. There is a total of 127 chapters which are compiled into 13 manga volumes by Shueisha.

The English version is licensed by Viz Media. They release the English version online on May 2018.

It takes two years for them to finally release the first volume in print. They released the last volume on March 15, 2022.

Though it falls short of the popular manga out there, Hell’s Paradise is considered a success. It sold a total of 3.6 million copies worldwide. It was also hailed as the popular series in Shonen Jump+ in August 2018.

The rising star studio, MAPPA, takes the rein for this series. Looking at their track record, their visual animation will be superb.

But, there is one concern. All of their TV is scheduled for early to mid-year. Big names like Attack on Titan: The Final and Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will accompany Hell’s Paradise simultaneously.

Fans are worried that this anime will turn worse compared to the manga version. Don’t get it wrong, many sing praises but some say that the PV is good enough yet they could do better. Let’s hope that this series doesn’t get reduced quality compared to others.

Despite coming from a successful manga, being a top anime contender for the next spring is difficult. There are many big names coming back for the second seasons such as Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, and Dr. Stone.

Can this anime survive the market? Let’s wait for it!
