The announcement of the second season was released way back in October 2021. But there had been no other information for months, until the official Twitter page released the visual teaser as well as the staff and cast on June 30, 2022.
Two months later, the first PV of Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro was released. The busiest months for them were October and November 2022, when they made many promotions and events to boost the popularity of the second season.
They also hold pre-screening events twice. The first one was held in Anime NYC 2022 on November 20, 2022. The second one will be held in Aeon Cinema Itabashi on December 10, 2022. The VAs of Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro is scheduled to be present at that event.
Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro Season 2 Trailer
The second PV of Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro was released on November 2022. At the same time, it also announced the broadcast channel of the series.
As you can see from the PV, there are additional cast members besides the main cast from the previous season. This season will introduce Anetoro, Orihara, and Sunomiya Hana.
As the name implies, Anetoro is Nagatoro’s older sister. She is voiced by Nanjou Yoshihono. Maeda Kaori voices Orihara, Nagatoro’s rival in Judo. Meanwhile, Sunomiya Hana who is a freshman in the art club will be voiced by Suzushiro Sayumi.
Even though OLM takes the reins from Telecom Animation Film, there is almost no notable change in the visual quality of the second season. Maybe it’s because the staff is almost the same as in the first season, except Ushiro Shinji substitutes Hanai Hirokazu as the director of the anime.
Like the first season, Uesaka Sumire still provides the opening of the series entitled “Love Crazy”.
The ending song also follows a past culture when every VAs sang the ending theme. The second season’s ending is entitled “My Sadistic Adolescence”. It features Sumire Uesaka (Nagatoro), Mikako Komatsu (Gamou), Aina Suzuki (Yoshi), and Shiori Izawa (Sakura).
