There’s no word yet on how many episodes will come out of production, but there are rumors that the anime might be a two-cour treat.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles Story
“Can muscles crush magic?!”
The opening sentence of the series’ description perfectly sums up what goes on in Mashle: Magic and Muscles.
Mash Burnedead is the Saitama who got lost in Harry Potter’s world: he’s a muggle who uses his muscles to do “magic.”
Not letting his magicless existence hinder him, Mash trains and bulks up while enjoying a peaceful life deep in the forest.
His tranquil life away from the world’s chaos gets disturbed when he’s found out.
He enrolls in a magic school in order to earn the highest prestige and protect his family.
Of course, he flexes his “muscle magic.” And by that, it means Mash destroys everything with sheer physical force.
Powered by his insane strength (and cream puffs), Mash overcomes obstacles in his determination to survive in a world dominated by magic.
Mashle: Magic and Muscles News
Mashle is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Kōmoto.
Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump started serializing Mashle in January 2020.
The manga series has entered its final arc starting on the 12th volume, released on July 4, 2022.
Timed with the 12th volume’s release, Aniplex announced the manga series’ anime adaptation, with A-1 Pictures responsible for the animation.
Many fans were surprised that Mashle manga would end too soon, seeing that the author could still do much with the story.
Mash’s determination to survive is said to reflect Kōmoto’s will to achieve his dream.
In the extras between the printed volumes’ chapters, the mangaka shares stories about himself, including when he worked as a security guard while developing his manga.
Although he felt it was too late to become a mangaka, Kōmoto persevered and finally lucked out on Mashle.
