Last season’s broadcast was a Sunday timeslot, and if the studio aims to give love to the fans by broadcasting By the Grace of the Gods early, a January 8, 2023 premiere seems like a workable date.
And the people at Maho Film didn’t disappoint their fans.
Most of the production staff from the first season are returning for the new season, with director Takeyuki Tanase leading the animation at Maho Film.
The upcoming season will also feature a new writer, Yuka Yamada (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid), who should boost the fantasy slice-of-life content of Ryoma’s life.
The new character highlighted in the initial announcement was Miyabi, voiced by Yuiko Tatsumi.
On the November 25 announcement, the website revealed 12 more characters.
The newly revealed characters are Makoto Yasumura as Serge, Junya Enoki as Dorche, Risa Kubota as Carla, Sakura Nakamura as Calum, Hiro Shimono as Tony, Kenichi Suzumura as Pioro, Daisuke Hirakawa as Prenance, Tetsu Inada as Worgan, Nobuyuki Hiyama as Tekun, Takuya Eguchi as Fernobelia, Akira Ishida as Caulkin, and Manami Numakura as Robelia.
By the Grace of the Gods Season 2 Trailer
Maho Film released this new PV on December 16, 2022.
The new promotional video showed more of the upcoming second season, with glimpses of Ryoma’s booming slime laundry business and his interactions with old and new characters.
Most importantly, it showed Ellaria, whom Ryoma was looking forward to seeing again.
It could be remembered that the duo parted ways and promised to meet again after three years.
Highlighted also on the video were broadcast details and the debut date, as well as a preview of the anime’s opening theme song, “Way to go” by MindaRyn.
The first teaser PV for By the Grace of the Gods season 2 was released along with a key visual during the announcement on September 16, 2022.
It was quite a lengthy lull as the initial announcement for the anime’s renewal for season 2 was reported last June 4, 2021.
Thankfully, the people behind By the Grace of the Gods won’t have to make the fans wait long.
By the Grace of the Gods Story
For someone who lived a troubled life, Ryoma Takebayashi is doing relatively well in the new world he transmigrated in.
After undergoing a torturous life and dying the lousiest of deaths, three gods pity him and decide to reincarnate him into a child in a new world.
Eight-year-old Ryoma is reborn in the Forest of Gana in a world called Seilfall.
Deep in the forest, young Ryoma tests the abilities and blessings the gods gave him. And surprisingly, the boy formed a strange hobby.
Ryoma starts keeping various types of slimes as pets and studying them and their different specialties.
In this kind of solitary peace, the Jamil household, in search of aid, finds Ryoma three years after he is reborn.
Ryoma helps the strangers treat their wounded. These people found it odd how a kid like Ryoma stayed safe after all those years.
The Jamil family convinces Ryoma to go with them and go to a nearby town. Ryoma finally starts to explore his new world.
The kid tasked by the Gods to savor his new life finds himself in the most tranquil isekai adventure, exploring a vast world beyond his forest home.
