Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Story

Created by Rifujin na Magonote, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation follows the story of a 34-year-old NEET who gets evicted from his home following the death of his parents.

Believing life to be meaningless, the protagonist decides to do one good deed and save teenagers from an oncoming truck.

Instead of dying, he wakes up as a newborn baby in a new world full of magic and sorcery!

His new name, Rudeus Greyrat, allows him to lead a new successful life. Rudeus becomes a trained magic user and grows up feeling finally accepted.

Unfortunately, the world becomes scattered as a giant catastrophe separates Rudeus from his family and friends, and he finds himself escorting the heiress Eris Boreas Greyrat back to her home.

Two years pass and Rudeus enrolls in the Ronoa Magic University, where Rudeus meets old friends, including Eris Greyrat, and new ones as his life begins again!

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation News

Along with the confirmation of Season 2, the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation author Rifujin na Magonote confirmed that a sequel to the series is in the works.

The series is said to be set 80 years after the events of the original series. Magonote has said that the series will be started upon the completion of the anime adaptation.

The story is intended to be a spin-off in the same world of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation and not a direct sequel to Rudeus‘ story.

The author wrote in a reply to a fan on Twitter: “It would be the story of ‘Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation’ eighty years after the end. It will depend on how long until the end of the anime adaptation and serialization of the ‘Orc Eiyuu Monogatari: Sontaku Retsuden’ light novels, maybe 3-8 years from now? Also, I do not intend to write this story as a sequel to ‘Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation’.
