Golden Kamuy season 4 was released on October 3, 2022. It currently airs every Monday.

Golden Kamuy Story
Following the events of the Russo-Japanese war, Saichi Sugimoto is a veteran who finds himself in the midst of an age-old treasure hunt for gold.
Sugimoto, known as the “Immortal” for surviving the war, decides to track down the illustrious gold treasure alongside an Ainu girl named Asirpa who longs for revenge over her father’s death.
Golden Kamuy was illustrated and written by Satoru Noda and serialized in Weekly Young Jump – it saw great critical and commercial success during its run, with over 20 million copies in circulation from June 2022. The manga ended in April 2022.
The series is noted for its historical accuracy and respect for Ainu culture, bringing on an actual Ainu linguist from Chiba University to oversee the Ainu used in the story.
Certain characters, including Hijitaka Toshizo, are fictionalized versions of their historical counterparts.
The manga won multiple awards, including the 9th Manga Taisho in 2016 and the 22nd Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2018. The anime is available to stream for viewers in North America on Crunchyroll and Funimation.

Season 4 Changes Production Staff
The production of Golden Kamuy’s fourth season changed hands. The first three seasons of the series were produced by Geno Studio – which was replaced following the announcement of Season 4.
Geno Studio is known for its work on Kokkoku: Moment by Moment and Pet.
Brain’s Base is now the studio behind Season 4. The production company is well-known for many successful series, including Penguindrum, Rin-ne, and Durarara!
Shizutaka Sugahara is Chief Director while Takumi Yamakawa takes over as Character Designer. Writer Noboru Takagi remains on staff for screenwriting.
Sugahara has directing credits for Rin-ne; Yamakawa worked on key animation for multiple series, including To Your Eternity, Black Butler: Book of Circus, and Karneval.
Takagi wrote for Durarara! and The Legend of the Galatic Heroes: Die Neue These.
Live-Action Adaptation Announced
A live-action film adaptation of Golden Kamuy was announced on April 19, 2022. The film has been green-lit and is currently in production as of 2022.
