Well, worry not because our favorite overpowered high schooler is coming back for more action this 2024!

With 8bit Studio’s release of their teaser PV and teaser visual, we can confirm that we will see the third installment of this anime soon!

But first, let’s take a look at what we know so far!

Along with the release of their teaser PV and teaser visual, it was also mentioned that season 3 would be aired this 2024.

It’s currently in production by studio 8Bit, which brought to you Slime Datta Ken, Infinite Stratos, Blue Lock, and many more!

They didn’t give an exact date just yet on when it would be aired, but if you stay tuned to our website, we’ll let you know first!

8bit Studio released a teaser PV of the third installment of this beloved anime series last July 15, 2023.

It was uploaded by Aniplex, where it was embedded on the official website for The Irregular At Magic High School where they also included the year it would be aired—in 2024.

The Irregular At Magic High School The Story So Far

We linked a reliable recap for the anime, but if you need just a brief recap to a brief recap, you’ve come to the right place!

The anime follows the story of a young man named Shiba Tatsuya.

Along with his sister, Shiba Miyuki, they try to have a normal high school life at First High School.

But things don’t go as planned there, since being in that school required you to not only be smart but also to be adept at the use of magic.

If a student had both talent for magic and was smart enough, they would be placed in Course 1.

And those who didn’t fit in one of both criteria were placed in Course 2.

But of course, this was high school. Superiority and inferiority complex between courses existed.

Those placed in Course 1 were called “Blooms” while Course 2 students were called “Weeds”.

Since Tatsuya wasn’t at all adept in magic, he got placed in Course 2 which was a reason to get bullied.

Although he scored the highest in the entrance exams when it came to theoretical, he was still placed in Course 2 for having weak magic power.

That’s really unfair if you ask me.

But even though his magic was weak, he’s still a genius in magic engineering and has decent control over magic.

He’s capable of creating and personalizing “CADs” which were used to control magic.

With his skills, his signature weapons were customizable twin pistols which can be adjusted to fire the situations perfectly paired with another one of his skills where he can completely read magic sequences even before it’s cast!

Simply put, he knew which magic his opponents used, which put him at an advantage to completely wipe out the magic sequence when he shot at it!

It was also revealed soon after that he was a genius magic engineer widely known as “Taurus Silver”, famous for inventions that boost the capabilities of various magicians through the creation of tools.

He even invented an anti-gravity tool that allowed users to fly!

Through his not-so-normal high school life, he encountered and fought against terrorist groups, obnoxious high schoolers, and two students from another school famous for their intelligence (Cardinal George) and raw power (Crimson Prince) which were feared by all.

Our high schooler also fought against a whole army where it was then revealed that his magic powers were sealed and limited.

After releasing the limiter, Tatsuya served as the DPS and Support of the war against another nation.

Those gaming terms mean that Tatsuya was both the Damager and Healer during the war!

He wiped out tanks and an entire fleet, all the while resurrecting and healing allied forces.

At this point, you’d think that he’s a God!

After that ordeal, he even fought off against “vampires” which were actually demons called “parasites”.

They were called that exactly because it was like a vampire attack.

All the blood from their victims got sucked out!

This attracted the attention of an American association called USNA to capture the parasites which were fugitives from another country.

And the plot thickens!

More battles, fan services, and awkward scenarios ensue which are all that we know so far!

The Irregular At Magic High School Season 3 What To Expect

Season 3 will delve into the story of Tatsuya and Miyuki’s experience as second-year students.

We can expect another hurdle to their peaceful lives with the appearance of a new character named Takumi Shippou, who unexpectedly holds a grudge against the two siblings for reasons not yet known.

Let’s expect to see whether this new character becomes a friend or foe in the long run.

Let’s just hope he’s prepared for how overpowered Tatsuya is!
