Spy Classroom is an action comedy anime emphasizing seven washout students and one teacher who doesn’t have the talent to teach. The objective of the class is to prepare the students for tackling an impossible mission with a 90% mortality rate.
The series will have a less-serious and more-comedic vibe, despite the setting of the anime being quite heavy. It’s almost the same as Princess Principal anime which consists of an all-girls squad.

It is confirmed that the anime premieres on January 2023. Unfortunately, the exact date is still not revealed.
Spy Classroom was confirmed to get an anime adaptation at Fantasia Bunko Online Festival, which was held on March 13, 2022. At the same time, information regarding the staff, cast, visual teaser, and PV was also released.
It is such a rare event that the series came fully prepared to announce its adaptation in one day.
Studio Feel is in charge of animating Spy Classroom. With how well they did on the previous project, OreGairu and Hinamatsuri, fans expect a good visual animation for this series.

Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Higurashi, SKET Dance) is the series director. Shinichi Inotsume (Persona 5) is in charge of the series composition. Meanwhile, Sumie Kinoshita (Imouto sae Ireba Ii) will handle the character design.
There is an interesting fact about the cast. The series released PV one day before the first light novel was released in 2020. It was the first PV that used eight different VAs to promote a light novel.
Two years later, the rooster of VA is exactly the same as back then. They use all-star VAs for the anime. Each character in Spy Classroom also has a codename attached to them.
From October 2022 to November 2022, they released the PV of each character gradually.

They released the second PV for the anime on July 15, 2022. The first PV was released way before that, but it only shows sketches of the character and illustrations from the light novel.
Nonoc will provide the opening song with the title “Toka”. Unfortunately, there is no news about who will be in charge of the ending.
The animation, albeit short, has already achieved a passing grade based on the PV. With how the standard of the graphic as well as the VAs, it can be assumed Spy Classroom is going to be a top contender for the best anime in winter-slated anime 2023.

To keep each other in check, they bring another type of war, the Shadow War. A war of deceit and deception with spies as its soldiers.
There is one particular spy named Klaus, hailed as the greatest spy. He finished every mission flawlessly. Then he decides to build a group whose mission is to tackle an impossible mission, one with a 90% chance of failure.
The catch is all seven students he accepts are washout students. They have no practical experience whatsoever. How will Klaus handle them?

Spy Classroom is based on the light novel of the same name written by Takemichi and illustrated by Tomari.
The first volume was released on January 18, 2020. As of November 2022, there are 8 volumes and 3 short stories in circulation.
Yen Press licensed the light novel and short story for North America in January 2021. It has already published four English versions of the light novel.
HIDIVE already saves the spot for streaming the show for North America. They announced it on Anime NYC 2022.
